Placido wines owe their phenomenal popularity to choice grapes grown in some of the world's premier wine regions, centuries of European winemaking experience and a quality-price ratio difficult to match. Consisting of eight noble wine types, their consumer appeal has grown consistently, year after year.
The brand inherited its name from a famous Sienese family, the Placidi, on whose vast estate some of the Placido vines grow today. The land was awarded to the family back in the Middle Ages and remained in the possession of its descendants until modern times.
