Concha y Toro Introduces New Packaging For Late Harvest
-Concha y Toro, America’s leading imported wine brand, has introduced a new package for its Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc Private Reserve. The elegant new design, recently launched nationwide, reflects the progression in quality of this refined, new world dessert wine.

Late Harvest is a lush and enticing dessert wine which was, until recently, only available in Chile. Since 2001, Late Harvest has been available in limited quantities (400 – 12 bottle cases per year) in the United States. Now these half-bottles (375 ml) have been redesigned to reflect the sophistication of the wine. Along with a sleek bottle shape, a simple, yet stylish, new label and a gold foil capsule finish the new package.

According to Brand Director Marc Simon of Concha y Toro’s US importer, Banfi Vintners of Old Brookville, NY, the Late Harvest package compliments the Concha y Toro family of wines theme while providing Late Harvest with its own, distinct identity. “This is the first dessert wine from Concha y Toro to be sold in the U.S. and its new design communicates its many unique features,” he said. “With Late Harvest, wine lovers can enjoy a Concha y Toro wine with every course of their meal – from appetizer through dessert.”

Concha y Toro Late Harvest is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in the Maule Valley of Chile and usually picked in late April, when the grapes in the Southern Hemisphere are fully ripe and concentrated in natural sugars. Half of the grapes are harvested with controlled Botrytis. The amber-colored wine is redolent of mature fruit with pear, melon and apricot aromas. Notes of honey add character to a balanced finish. The suggested retail price for a 375ml bottle of Concha y Toro Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc is $14.

Concha y Toro is the best-selling imported line of wines in the United States. In addition to the Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, Concha y Toro produces the popular Frontera, Casillero del Diablo and Xplorador lines, as well as the premium Marques de Casa Concha and Terrunyo varietals, and the ultra-premium Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon and Amelia Chardonnay.
