Riunite Launches www.riunite.com
Riunite, the nation's most popular Italian wine, has recently gone online with a newly designed consumer web site - www.riunite.com. This summer, visitors to this site will be greeted with the opportunity to win a Vespa, the chic Italian motor scooter popularized by Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in the classic movie, Roman Holiday.

The web site features information on the entire line of Riunite wines, a history of Cantine Riunite, special drink recipes and a nostalgic look back at award-winning Riunite television commercials aired over the past three decades. Consumers can enter the Vespa Sweepstakes, view the archive of television spots, and contact Riunite with any comments or questions.

Riunite, made by a consortium of farmers in Reggio Emilia, Italy, took the U.S. by storm after its 1968 introduction here. By 1975 it became America's leading imported wine, holding that position over the next two decades. Today, Riunite remains the country's best-selling Italian wine.

Classic red wines from Riunite include the popular Lambrusco and a zesty Lancellotta. Riunite's casual white wine offerings are Bianco and D'Oro. The winery's refreshing blush wines include Riunite White Lambrusco, Rosato and Blush Bianco. This year Riunite introduced four new wines, made from 100% varietal grapes and with natural fruit flavors. These new wines include; Riunite Peach Chardonnay, Riunite Raspberry Cabernet, Riunite Blackberry Merlot and Riunite Strawberry White Merlot.

The Vespa Sweepstakes ends August 31, 2002 and all online entries must be received by that date. No purchase is necessary, but several rules and restrictions apply including minimum age requirements. This sweepstakes is not legal in California or Utah. Tennessee residents cannot enter online.
