Riunite Celebrates Summer - Italian Style
Riunite, the nation's most popular Italian wine, and Vespa, the chic Italian motor scooter popularized by Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in the classic movie, Roman Holiday, are teaming up to offer a fun summer joy ride.

Sporty red Vespas, decorated with the Riunite logo and tagline "on ice... that's nice!" will be displayed with sweepstakes entry forms in stores throughout the summer. At the end of the summer, Riunite will hold a drawing for the Grand Prize - a new Vespa Motor Scooter Model ET2, a red helmet and Vespa goggles. The total prize package is valued at $3600.

Starting on June 1, 2002, participants can enter the "Riunite 2002 Summer Sweepstakes" via the Riunite web site (www.riunite.com), by using the "tear-off" entry forms provided in participating retail outlets, or by sending a postcard to "Riunite 2002 Summer Sweepstakes," P.O. Box 3170, Grand Rapids, MN 55745-3170. The sweepstakes ends August 31, 2002 and all entries must be postmarked by that date and received no later than September 15, 2002 to be eligible. No purchase is necessary, but several rules and restrictions apply including minimum age requirements. This sweepstakes is not legal in California or Utah. Tennessee residents cannot enter online.

Riunite, made in Reggio Emilia, Italy, took the U.S. by storm from its 1968 introduction here. By 1975 it became America's leading imported wine, holding that position over the next two decades, and remaining the country's most popular Italian wine.

Classic red wines from Riunite include the popular Lambrusco and a zesty Lancellotta. Riunite's casual white wine offerings are Bianco and D'Oro. The winery's refreshing blush wines include Riunite White Lambrusco, Rosato and Blush Bianco. This year Riunite introduced four new wines, made from 100% varietal grapes and natural fruit flavors, to the U.S. market, including: Riunite Peach Chardonnay, Riunite Raspberry Cabernet, Riunite Blackberry Merlot and Riunite Strawberry White Merlot.

With over 50 years of history, Vespa has fascinated millions, giving the world a unique image of Italian style and a means of personal transport, synonymous with freedom. Manufactured by Piaggio in Tuscany, Italy, the Vespa was designed in 1946 by Enrico Piaggio as a solution to transportation troubles following World War II. In 2000, after a 15-year hiatus, the fabled Italian scooter returned to the United States to entice new generations with its fun, nostalgic nature.
