Old Brookville Gold Coast Reserve Chardonnay 2001

"...is a medium bodied, barrel fermented chardonnay, with medium toast and hints of butterscotch. Try this wine with seafood, game or poultry."
- LONG ISLAND WINE COUNTRY.com 2 April 2003

"Look for the versatile 2001 Chardonnay Gold Coast Reserve, a fine, balanced white from Banfi Vintners' Old Brookville Vineyards. Old Brookville is Nassau County's lone commercial vineyard and, given the location and the Elizabethan mansion that's Banfi's headquarters, certainly an estate in more ways than one. The 2001 Chardonnay was made for Banfi at the Premium Wine Group in Mattituck. Typical of Old Brookville's satisfying Chardonnays, this one is round, buttery, with a light straw hue and a hint of apple."

Old Brookville Gold Coast Reserve Chardonnay 2000

"...medium-bodied, versatile wine, barrel-fermented and buttery, but comparatively light on the oak. The wine boasts good fruit, and a hint of pear."
- Peter M. Gianotti - Newsday - October 2001

"...classy, polished... The aroma is honey-like and floral; the spicy, buttery flavor is redolent of pears, apples, tropical fruits and butterscotch; the texture is smooth; the acidity, refreshing; the aftertaste, long; the overall effect, round and pretty. On the standard 100-point scale, it's an 88."
- Howard Goldberg - New York Times - October 2001

"delicious and stylish"
